The Amsterdam Innovation Motor (AIM) was established to strengthen the knowledge-based economy of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area by bringing together academic, commercial and public sector partners on key areas for growth. To this end the Amsterdam BioMed Cluster, the unifying force in the region's life sciences, was created to gain further economical spin off from the excellent bio- and medical technology in the region. AIM is directed by the Amsterdam Economic Board. *
